Table Talk 04 -- Q1: Can you discuss the distinctions between historical theology, exegetical theology, biblical theology, and systematic theology?

Table Talk 04 -- Q2: Regarding Systematic Theology, who was the recognized authority prior to Louis Berkhof?

Table Talk 04 -- Q3: Is it true that the authors of Scripture didn't write in a vacuum but took a lot of their ideas from their culture?

Table Talk 04 -- Q4: Can you talk about the genetic fallacy?

Table Talk 04 -- Q5: Dr. Morey, when is it appropriate to use biblical theology over exegetical theology?

Table Talk 04 -- Q6: (Awesome lecture discussing the Trinity) Dr. Morey, I was wondering if you've heard of the book The Doctrine of the Trinity by Anthony Buzzard. If so, can I get you comments on that?

Table Talk 04 -- Q7: I have a two-part question: 1. In Romans 8:3, what does "the likeness of sinful flesh" mean? Is the physical body evil? 2. Is the Arminian doctrine of soteriology heresy; is it unable to save?

Table Talk 04 -- Q8: What's the major difference between between Covenant Theology and Dispensationalism?

Table Talk 04 -- Q9: You said that Arminianism and Calvinism are both orthodox. But my understanding of orthodox is that which is true, is that right?

Table Talk 04 -- Q10: In Galatians 1 it says that anyone preaching another gospel is anathema. Would Arminianism be another gospel since it teaches another way?

Table Talk 04 -- Q11: Regarding the nature of the atonement, Reformed Theology argues that God the Father poured out his infinite wrath on God the Son in a finite moment in time and that is what paid the penalty of man's sins. And at that moment God the Father was separated from God the Son, and that his hatred, anger, and wrath was poured out on Christ. What is your position on that?

Table Talk 04 -- Q12: I read R. C. Sproul's book dealing with the atonement, as well as some Church Father, and they give a more detailed answer stating that the Logos, which was the deity of Christ, was literally separated from God the Father at the moment he was suffering. Is that a contradiction?

Table Talk 04 -- Q13: From my understanding of the Scriptures, it is the suffering of Christ seems to be what accomplished the atonement of our sins rather than God pouring out his wrath. Can you help me understand this better?

Table Talk 04 -- Q14: Is God the author of sin?

Table Talk 04 -- Q15: In Romans 9, I'd like to know if it was ordained before the foundation of the earth that God himself would hate Essau?

Table Talk 04 -- Q16: Was there anything Esau could have done to prevent God's hatred of him, like prayer? If not, how can God hold him accountable on Judgment Day?

Table Talk 04 -- Q17: My question is about Cain and Abel's offering to the Lord in Genesis 4. Aside from the tithe, are we to bring gifts to the Lord?

Table Talk 04 -- Q18: Are there any other types of gifts we can bring God other than monetary gifts?

Table Talk 04 -- Q19: Can you give me a definition of postmodernism?

Table Talk 04 -- Q20: Can you explain how the hermeneutic used to prove annihilationism and soul sleep leads to a denial of the Trinity?

Table Talk 04 -- Q21: You mentioned that Emmanuel Kant was the one that championed the transcendental interpretation of the Scriptures from God to man. This is in contrast to the view of Thomas Aquinas whom you have called a heretic. Can you explain why he is a heretic?

Table Talk 04 -- Q22: What was Thomas Aquinas' view of God?

Table Talk 04 -- Q23: Do theologians know that Thomas Aquinas was a heretic?

Table Talk 04 -- Q24: When we get our resurrected bodies in the new earth, will we have access to heaven?

Table Talk 04 -- Q25: Why was Cain's offering not respected, acknowledged, or accepted by God? And was Cain a vessel of dishonor?

Table Talk 04 -- Q26: You mentioned that God is in control over everything. How does a Christian look at all the situations in world today like wars, etc., are these under God's control or Satan's control?

Table Talk 04 -- Q27: In Romans 8, does it teach that the physical body is evil when it refers to the likeness of sinful flesh?

Table Talk 04 -- Q28: With regards to the decrees of God, namely the decree of reprobation, the Reformers claim that the reason why God decrees one to be reprobate is because of their rejection of Christ. Wouldn't that be a contradiction of the decree of God since it depends on the actions of man?

Table Talk 04 -- Q29: Can you explain some of the differences between the Hare Krishna and Hindus?

Table Talk 04 -- Q30: Can you comment on Jonathan Edwards' view of the will?

Table Talk 04 -- Q31: What did you mean when you said that man does not have a will?
